## 1. Who is speaking

The Non-Writer and Ask Non are **software**. They imitate a documented writing
and arguing style associated with Dr Non. They are **not** Dr Non speaking,
not his employer, and not the Thai government.

Do not attribute outputs to him, to DEPA, or to any ministry. Screenshots that
imply personal endorsement are misleading.

## 2. The hosted tool (nonwriter.nonarkara.org)

**Data controller (informal):** the operator of this box — Dr Non, reachable
through [nonharvard.wordpress.com](https://nonharvard.wordpress.com)
(contact form / blog). One person, one Mac in Bangkok. Not a company.

If you use the website:

- **You consent before any job runs.** The server rejects submissions without
  explicit consent.
- **Your paste, the rewrite or answer, and the notes are stored** on the
  operator's machine for study — improving the style and seeing what people
  bring. Not sold. Not shown to other users as a feed. Read by the operator.
  Retention is indefinite until you request erasure or the operator deletes
  the row; there is no automated expiry.
- **Cloud processors (when a cloud engine serves the job).** Your text is sent
  to whichever provider wins the chain, under that provider's terms. Typical
  free-tier path: Cerebras, Groq, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, NVIDIA NIM.
  Thai-law Ask Non may also call iApp Thai Legal Data for มาตรา/ฎีกา grounding.
  Privacy policies live on those sites. The result names which engine ran.
  A local Ollama model on the Mac does not leave the machine.
- **Service keys (BYOK)** stay in your browser, are sent only for that job, and
  are never written into the study database.
- **IP addresses are hashed**, not stored raw.
- **Do not paste secrets** — medical history, others' personal data, passwords,
  manuscripts you cannot risk.

Ask Non answers can be wrong, especially when fluent. Not medical, legal, or
financial advice. Verify before you act. The tool is aimed at adults who can
judge sharp prose; there is no age gate.

### How to request erasure

There are no accounts and no self-service delete. Email or message via the blog
and include: approximate date/time (timezone), whether it was a rewrite or Ask,
and a short unique phrase from what you pasted (so the hashed visitor row can
be found). Admin erasure is by visitor hash. A human answers.

## 3. The downloadable style files

`NON-WRITING.md`, `HOW-TO-USE.md`, `SHELF.md`, and this file are provided
so you can run the **same rules** on any model you choose.

You may:

- Use them for personal or organisational drafting.
- Attach them to prompts for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, local models, etc.
- Quote short excerpts with attribution to The Non-Writer / the style guide.

You may not:

- Claim the outputs of those models are written or approved by Dr Non.
- Resell these files as a commercial "Dr Non prompt pack" that implies
  endorsement.
- Use the style to harass a named private person or to produce illegal
  instructions (the hosted tool also refuses a narrow band of those).

The style guide is a map of craft, not a trademark licence for Dr Non's name
as a personal brand on your product.

## 4. Book covers and bibliography

Cover images on the site are **original stylised artefacts** made for this
project. They are not publisher artwork and do not imply affiliation with
Penguin, The Economist, TED, or any imprint. Titles and authors name real
books; buy those books from legitimate sellers if you want the texts.

## 5. No warranty

The tool and the Markdown kit are provided as-is. One machine, one home
connection, free tiers that run out. No uptime promise. You use outputs at
your own risk.

If an output is about you and should not exist, or you want submitted text
